Important Dates

• Question submission deadline (Wednesday, August 9th)

• Application deadline (Tuesday, August 22nd)

• Anticipated selection notification (November 2023 to January 2024)

Eligibility

Replaceable school buses must:

• Be a 2010 or older diesel-powered school bus that will be scrapped if selected for funding

• Have a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of 10,001 lbs or more

• Be operational at the time of your application

• Have provided transportation to a public school district for at least three days per week during the 2022/2023 school year

Application Process

To apply, you must submit your application online through grants.gov.

The application process is anticipated to take longer than last year and requires a variety of documents, so be sure to apply early.
