1. How much is a bus?

Bus prices can range depending on what you put on your bus and what make/model of bus you want.

2. Where can I find warranty information for my bus?

Look inside the binder you received with your new bus. You can also contact our warranty department at 260-352-2722.

3. What is the mile range on the Jouley?

The range on a Thomas C2 Jouley is 135 miles.

4. I need a new part for my bus. Who should I contact?

To order new bus parts, you can get in contact with our parts department at 260-352-2722.

5. Do I need a CDL to drive all types of buses?

Whether or not you need a CDL depends on the number of passengers the vehicle can seat and its gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR).

If it is a 14-passenger bus, you do not need a CDL. But if it seats more than 14 passengers you need a Class B CDL. Also, if the bus weighs over 26,000 pounds, a CDL is required.

6. Are there any other endorsements needed to drive a bus?

To drive a bus with passengers, you must have the “P” endorsement.

If you operate a commercial vehicle that transports students from school to home, from home to school, or to and from school-sponsored events, you need an “S” endorsement.

7. When will my bus be ready?

Estimated ready dates are longer than usual right now due to the supply chain.

If you want to know more details, reach out to your salesman.

8. Can I do a team bus with school graphics on it?

Yes, you can get graphics on a team bus.

Contact your salesman and they can help direct you to the right person to help with the design.

9. Can I have colored lights on my team bus?

Yes. However, white is the only color that is currently available.

10. Do I need to install the cameras myself or can Kerlin install them?

We’re happy to install cameras for you, but there is an additional installation fee.

You’re also welcome to install them yourself.

11. Do stop-arm cameras help stop arm violations?

Stop arm cameras have helped a lot of our customers catch people who violated the Indiana school bus stop arm laws.

Be sure and speak with your local law enforcement and prosecutor to see what they will require.
